Combat tier A · Official group: Lucky

Dark grimoire

A flexible damage grimoire with useful range, crowd control and a steady rotation rather than one short burst window.

Best forSustained damage and control
Current verdictKeep it. Dark is a strong all-round legendary-style outcome for solo progression and repeat fights.

Dark strengths

  • Reliable sustained DPS
  • Good range
  • Crowd-control utility

What to watch for

It lacks the peak burst of Light, but its smoother cooldown cycle is easier to use across a long fight.

How to develop Dark

Use the book actively in combat instead of relying only on basic attacks. Like every grimoire described by the developer, Dark gains ordinary book levels as you fight and unlocks new spells at levels 10 and 20. You keep the same book for both milestones.

Build a repeatable rotation around its strengths before judging a fresh result. More abilities can change how the kit handles groups, bosses and downtime. Use the leveling guide and calculator to plan those milestones.

Combat tier versus official availability

Tier A is a current community combat assessment, not a developer rating. The official description places Dark in the “Lucky” availability group but does not publish a verified roll percentage. Balance changes can move the combat tier without changing that official group.
